Old City Seaport Festival
Join the crew of the Summer Wind as we welcome a whole fleet of ships to Philadelphia as part of the Old City Seaport Festival at the Independence Seaport Museum in October. The museum will be selling tickets for river tours aboard the Summer Wind and many of the other ships. Join us onboard for the 3rd Annual Pirate Battle on the river. This year we'll feature six tall ships fighting it out, including Kalmar Nyckel, AJ Meerwald, Gazela, Pride of Baltimore II, Quintessence and us. You can get tickets and come along for the action! Fireworks Sails
Everybody loves fireworks and to see them from the river is something special. The Fourth of July celebration in Philadelphia lasts several days. The fireworks on the 4th are on the Ben Franklin Parkway near the Art Museum. Fireworks on the river will be Saturday June 30th this year. Over the Summer there will also be fireworks at Penn's Landing every Friday night from July 27th through August 31st.

Pirate Week
Pirate Week is your chance to go a little nuts! Join us for Pirate Sails every day during the week of September 9th through the 15th. Watch out for another Pirate Battle on the river featuring four or five ships, including the Summer Wind. We're more maneuverable than the bigger ships, so the advantage in close quarters is ours! We'll post more news about the Pirate Battle right here, so keep checking back.
The Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race
Join us for an amazing 10-day trip to Baltimore and the race all the way down the Bay to Portsmouth. With festivities and crew-only parties at both ends of the race, this is one of the best traditions in the Chesapeake Bay. You can be one of our crew and have the adventure of a lifetime!

Holiday Parade of Lights
It's a long way from December but it's never too early to start planning for the holidays. Last December the Independence Seaport Museum renewed an old tradition in Philadelphia, the Annual Parade of Lights on the Delaware River. About 20 boats participated last year, including the Summer Wind and we'll be back next year too!
